About This Spot
Stepping into Tandem Ragù on Via Paladino feels a little like slipping into a familiar Neapolitan kitchen, where warmth and tradition fill every corner. Soft jazz notes flow gently in the background, lending an easygoing rhythm that keeps the pace calm and unhurried, encouraging guests to settle in fully.
This is a place where the heart of Naples reveals itself through food that honors time-honored recipes and the rich, slow-cooked rituals of ragù. It’s not about quick meals but rather about savoring the deeply comforting flavors, wrapped in the kind of simplicity that speaks volumes about local heritage. The aroma of ragù simmering with care welcomes you—a signal that what awaits is familiar and sincere.
The experience here is marked by a genuine human touch. The staff’s warmth and openness create a space where you feel as though you’re being guided through a shared moment among friends, not just served a plate. Their thoughtful recommendations invite you to discover the nuances of Neapolitan ragù and pasta that embody the region’s culinary soul.
Meals unfold slowly, often rich and hearty, inviting that classic gesture of “scarpetta” where every bit of sauce is cherished. The cozy, modest setting means there’s a rhythm of shared smiles, soft laughter, and that relaxed, slightly bustling hum of a neighborhood spot where locals and visitors alike come for a genuine taste of Napoli’s kitchen culture.
Whether it’s the comforting weight of a slow-cooked Genovese ragù, a fresh Caprese salad brightening the table, or a smooth, sweet finish with tiramisù and a glass of house wine, Tandem Ragù offers more than just food—it offers a grounded, authentic moment that lingers long after the last bite.

I went there for lunch. Soft jazz music was playing in the background, which created a calm atmosphere and was never disturbing. The place is quite small, with about six or seven tables inside. Service was warm and friendly, and the restrooms were clean. They offered different ragù dishes, and the waiters were knowledgeable in explaining the pasta options and other items. The best part was that they could speak English, which is a real advantage since this is often a challenge in many cafés in Naples. From what I saw, most of the customers were tourists, probably because it’s close to the main attractions. I ordered gnocchi, and the food was delicious.

We came in a bit before closing, totally starving, and the staff welcomed us so kindly—saying if we made it in 20 minutes, they could still serve us homemade pasta. It was such a funny and friendly moment! The food was really good, especially the pasta. The lasagna was a bit cold, but understandable given the time. Super nice staff and cozy atmosphere. We’ll definitely come back on our next trip to Napoli (earlier next time)!

Easily one of the most satisfying meals I ever had! It was simple but rich in flavor and just so so tasty. Small and cozy place with only 5-6 tables so be prepared for some waiting time on a busy day, which is definitely worth it

Fantastic place for authentic, slow-cooked Neapolitan ragù! We were seated (but it took forever though) and tried the Rigatoni alla Genovese and Lasagna al Ragù, plus the Tiramisu. I personally loved everything—rich, comforting, and packed with flavor. Warning: The dishes are incredibly heavy (as authentic ragù should be), and my wife found the rich, slow-cooked flavor profile was not to her taste. A top spot if you appreciate deeply savory, traditional Italian comfort food.

Was worried with them having so many sites in Naples it might be a bit of a tourist trap but it wasn't and the food was brilliant! We had maybe a 10 minute wait for a table in the evening on a Monday. We were told when ordering that the starters were to share between 2, we ordered one each anyway and they were huge! But so tasty we could help but finish them but honestly one starter between two is more han enough We had the deep fried lasagna and he fried basket to start, both were great and we had two portions of the ragu with ricotta as our mains again fantastic. The staff were really welcoming and I would strongly recommend coming here to eat as it was brilliant. I wish we'd saved room for dessert as if it was as good as the other two courses it would have been amazing

Tiny place with 6 tables only, makes a creamy ragu that served with Scialatielli pasta took me to foodie heaven. Great friendly people all around. I ate outside rush hour so enjoyed a stress free meal and some good laughs with the staff.

Literally amazing ! Guys, if you have any doubts on going here - don't ! They simmer their sauces for hours and hours for the meat to be the most tender and it is as well delicious. Suggest to get fresh pasta with Ragu or Napolitano sauce , believe me you won't regret a single bite The best, Grazie !

The best rigattoni with genovese in Napoli. Perfectly al dente pasta and huge amount of delicious souce. I recommend this particular restaurant because we ate in the other tandem ragu point on the other day and it was not so tasty as here.
